Sympetrum striolatum

This is a male resting in the afternoon on the stem of reedmace in Dragonfly Hollow in the middle of September.
 
It is a very common dragonfly which is on the wing from June to late October. When visiting the Kinson Common, this is the one species which you are likely to see in good numbers generally around the Common.
