This clambering perennial is well distributed on the Common. Although it is a highly decorative wild flower, its green then yellow berries are poisonous.

Bittersweet belongs to the Nightshade family Solanaceae. Our photograph was taken in a damp area within Dragonfly Hollow where it is abundant.
