Jack Snipe
Lymnocrytes minimus

The Jack Snipe is an occasional winter visitor to the Kinson Common. Its plumage is similar to the Common Snipe and is it 7.5 cms smaller in size.
If disturbed, it quickly takes to cover again and its zigzag flight is less pronounced.

Haunt. The Central Bog region of the Kinson Common. Like the Common
Snipe, it may also visit Dragonfly Hollow, or make itself at home for
short periods at stream bed level.
