This beautiful black and white summer visitor is a very familiar site over the Common and Kinson generally from April to October each year. It is a very sociable bird and nests under the eaves of houses, even in the heart of kinson.
Haunt. Anywhere in the air of Kinson.
Nest. Under the eaves of houses. The well constructed nest is made from mud scrapings and it has a small entry hole.
Eggs. 4-5 are laid from May to August. The narrow eggs are white in colour.
Food. Insects caught when in flight.
